Freya's Tears - Mead with Raspberries

Freya is the Norse Goddess of Love, Fertility, and Magic. She also had the right to half of the warriors that died in battle. Those she chose would join her in the heavenly field Folkvanger, and the rest would go to Valhalla. Her husband, Odr, frequently left to travel the mortal realm and in her yearning for him, Freya would cry tears of red gold. Freya's Tears is a true treasure; it tastes like a lover's kiss and you will miss it when it's gone.

I'm not a sommelier or anything, but I do drink alcohol almost exclusively based on taste and not to get trashed. This was easily the best tasting drink of its kind by a massive margin. Smooth going in, perhaps deceptively smooth in fact, as it has some kick, but with a unique finish more similar to a beer than a wine, leaving a hint of that raspberry wafting over your tongue that practically begs you for another go. Highly recommend, I found its flavor peaks a little higher than standard refrigerator temperature (~50f), so leave it out for 10 minutes thereabouts before enjoying if chilled. I don't really know how to describe it, but the colder it is, the "Sharper" it tastes.
